3rd Party Mailing

3rd Party Mailing

There are times when we feel it is appropriate to write to our patients using a 3rd party provider. An example would be when sending out a large mailing for something like the flu reminder. In these situations, we would prepare a list of patients and upload their address details, together with the letter. This information would then be processed by the 3rd party provider.

They would print, insert into an envelope and send via Royal Mail. This saves considerable time and cost to the surgery as we would find it extremely difficult to handle large mailings. The 3rd party provider has all the equipment necessary to do this work.

It is important that you feel reassured that your information is handled carefully and to that end, we use a company called Docmail, who are approved by Connecting for Health, the NHS communication body. We only use this service occasionally.

If you have any concerns or would prefer that your information was not handled in this way, please feel free to contact me, Paul Edwards, Practice Manager on 02392 580363 or send an email to hamp-pct.BuryRoad@nhs.net.
