The Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has:


  • 21 constituent member GP practices
  • A delegated budget of £167million for 2011/12 covering acute hospitals, community services and prescribing services
  • A population of 199,099 local residents
  • An area of 105.5 square kms (40.7 square miles)
  • Services provided by five providers:
    • Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust
    • University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
    • Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust
    • Solent NHS Trust
    • South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust
  • Relationships with three councils:
    • Hampshire County Council
    • Fareham Borough Council
    • Gosport Borough Council

  • Clinical Board meetings every second Wednesday of the month
  • Clinical Executive meetings every second and forth Wednesday of the month

  • Practice Managers’ Commissioning Advisory Group bi-monthly
  • Prescribing Group every month
  • Target GP education events every quarter
